How Much Does AI Automation Cost for a Dubai Business?

AI automation in Dubai typically costs between AED 15,000 and AED 120,000 for an initial build, depending on how much of your process you are automating and how clean your data is. Ongoing support usually runs AED 2,000 to AED 8,000 a month. Anything cheaper is normally a no-code wrapper that will break within a year.

That is the honest answer most agencies will not give you on a first call. Here is what sits behind those numbers.

What actually drives the cost

Three things move the price far more than anything else.

The state of your data. This is the single biggest variable, and the one nobody warns you about. If your customer records live in three systems and a WhatsApp thread, the first third of the project is data work, not AI. Businesses with clean, centralised data routinely pay half what businesses with fragmented data pay for the same outcome.

Integration depth. An AI chatbot that answers questions from a fixed knowledge base is straightforward. One that checks live availability in your booking system, writes to your CRM and triggers a WhatsApp confirmation is a different project. Every system it touches adds cost.

Whether it needs to be right. A tool that drafts social captions can be wrong occasionally. A system that qualifies mortgage applicants cannot. Accuracy requirements drive testing, guardrails and human review workflows, and those are engineering hours.

Realistic price bands in the UAE

Proof of concept: AED 15,000 to 45,000. One process, one outcome, six weeks. This is where every sensible AI project starts. You get a working system aimed at a single high-value problem, and you find out whether the approach works before committing further.

Production build: AED 45,000 to 120,000. A fully integrated system running inside your operation, with monitoring, error handling and staff training.

Enterprise programmes: AED 120,000 upward. Multiple processes, compliance requirements, custom model work.

Ongoing support: AED 2,000 to 8,000 monthly. Models drift, systems change, and edge cases surface. Budget for it.

Where the cheap options fail

You can buy an AI chatbot subscription for a few hundred dirhams a month. For simple FAQ deflection, that is genuinely the right answer and you should not pay an agency for it.

The problem comes when the tool needs to do something specific to your business. No-code platforms hit a wall the moment you need real integration, and by then you have built a process around something you cannot extend. We regularly rebuild these, which costs more than doing it properly first time.

How to avoid overpaying

Start with the problem, not the technology. If nobody can tell you which process costs the most hours, you are not ready to buy AI. You are ready to do a process audit.

Insist on a fixed-scope first phase. Any credible partner will define a six-week engagement with an agreed outcome. Open-ended discovery retainers are where budgets disappear.

Ask what happens if it does not work. The honest answer is that you get a documented reason why that approach is wrong for your business, which is worth more than a year of consultancy fees spent finding out slowly.

Own everything. Code, data, models, accounts. If a vendor hosts your automation on their infrastructure with no export path, you are renting, not buying.

The question to ask before you spend anything

What is this process costing us right now, in hours or dirhams, every month?

If you can answer that, the business case writes itself and you will know within a week whether AI is worth it. If you cannot, no amount of technology will help, and the honest recommendation is usually a simpler process fix.
